Privacy Policy

Grown & Gathered is a gardening companion made with care in the UK. This policy explains, in plain English, what information we hold about you, why, and the control you have over it. We keep it simple on purpose — and we never sell your data or show you adverts.

In this policy, "we" and "us" means Revolate Ltd (trading as Grown & Gathered), the data controller for your information. If you have any questions, email us any time at hello@growngathered.co.uk.

What we collect

• Your account — your name (or what you'd like to be called) and email address, so we can save your garden and sign you in. If you sign in with Apple or Google, they confirm your email to us.
• Your garden — the crops you add, when you've sown and harvested them, your reminders, your wishlist, and any notes or seed-packet photos you choose to add.
• Your area — your postcode, used to look up the right local weather and frost dates for you. We only need the area part to do this.
• A little technical information — basic, standard data needed to run the app reliably (such as app version, a device identifier, and the occasional error report). If you turn on notifications, we store a notification token for your device so we can send your daily note and weather alerts. We do not use advertising or cross-app tracking.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To run the app for you — saving your garden, showing your planner, looking up your local weather (this is necessary to provide the service you've asked for).
• To send the reminders and alerts you turn on — your daily garden note, frost and weather warnings, feeding and sowing nudges (with your consent, which you can withdraw any time).
• To keep the app safe and improve it — fixing problems and making it better (our legitimate interest in running a good, reliable app).

Who we share it with

Only the trusted services that help us run the app — never advertisers, and we never sell your information. These are:

• Supabase — securely stores your account, your garden and your photos, and hosts our backend.
• Brevo — sends account and service emails (such as verifying your address).
• Apple & Google — handle sign-in, app delivery, push notifications and, if you subscribe, payment. We never see your card details.
• The Met Office & Open-Meteo — we send your area to fetch your local forecast; we don't send them anything that identifies you.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, your information stays protected by appropriate safeguards (such as UK/EU-approved data-transfer terms).

Notifications

Notifications are always your choice. We'll ask before turning them on, bundle them into one gentle note a day, and stay quiet overnight. You can change the timing or switch them off completely — in the app's Settings or your phone's settings — whenever you like.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your garden for as long as your account is open, so it's there waiting whenever you come back. You're in control:

• Sign out any time — your garden stays safely backed up to your account.
• Delete your account from Settings → Delete my account. This permanently removes your account and your garden — your seed tin, plot, your own seeds and packet photos — from your device and our servers. This can't be undone.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to receive a copy, and to object to or restrict certain uses. Just email hello@growngathered.co.uk and we'll help. If you're ever unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can contact the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Children

Grown & Gathered is made for grown-ups and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their details, please get in touch and we'll remove them.

Security

Your information is stored on secure, access-controlled services and sent over encrypted connections. No system is ever perfectly secure, but we take sensible, industry-standard care to protect your garden.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above, and let you know in the app where appropriate.
